*Collective Worship and Easter Service

Year 4 were planning to lead our Easter Service this week in Holy Trinity Church.  Because this hasn't been possible... look at our Collective Worship section of the website for some thoughts, prayers, songs and activities to join in with at home instead of you would like to:

Home Learning Resources

Below are some helpful documents to help you create a bit of order to your day whilst school is closed.  The Bingo board matches our normal timetable at school.  Children can choose one activity from each column every day to make sure they practice skills in all of the curriculum areas.  The other resources are activities we have listed on the board.  We will add another board on each week school is closed (which hopefully wont mean many).

Writing Challenge - Monday 30th March. Can you write a letter?

White Rose Maths Video Lessons

White Rose have put together some video maths lessons.  They are releasing 5 a week so have a look and attempt one a day :) .  Some questions and the answers to them are there to support learning.  CLICK THE PIC to go to website...

Just follow these four easy steps…

  1. Click on the set of lessons for your child’s year group.
  2. Watch the video (either on your own or with your child).
  3. Find a calm space where your child can work for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. Use the video guidance to support your child as they work through a lesson.

Reading at home!

Your child will have been sent home with a reading book and a library book to share at home.

Bug Club

As well as your reading books, don't forget you can read even more books online with your Bug Club account (the website link is below).  Class teachers have allocated your children books and spelling and grammar videos and games to access online at home .

Usernames and passwords have been stuck in the back of reading record for children.  Please ask your class teacher if you are unsure of your username and password.

Below are a range of useful questions you could ask your child whilst they read to you at home.  There are different types of questions that match our reading gems in school.

Busy Things!

We have signed up for our children in EYFS and KS1 to have access to Busy Things at home.  On here you will find games and activities in all areas of the curriculum including English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, RE, Art and much much more!

Log ons are in the back of your child's reading record.  If you do not find one there please email Miss Lewis and she will send you the details.

KS1 SATs

In May, children will be sitting their SATs tests.  They will have a Spelling, Grammar and Puntuation paper, two reading papers and two maths papers.

We don't want children to worry about these tests and we are calling them "quizzes".  If you wanted to do any practice with your child at home there are copies of past years papers that are available to look at and practice with.

We have put these papers below for you to look at.  For guidance and marking schemes etc you can go to the gov.uk website (click the picture below to take you to these extra resources)
